ELKMONT RUNNERS ARE RECOGNIZED

Chance Bailey and Chase Prater both had a great year in Cross Country. The two really pushed each other in practices and races and could be seen on many afternoons and Saturdays putting in miles together and pushing one another to be better. 

Both athletes had a great race at sectionals and qualified for state. They were named members of the All State 4A XC team by finishing in the top 15 at the state competition at the Oakviille Indian mounds in November. 

Chase finished an overall third in the 4A race with Chance not far behind at thirteenth. They were also named to the the Decatur Daily All Area First Team. 

Chance will be a senior next year and Chase will be a junior. With the new 3A classification, Elkmont should be ranked high with these two leading the boys team. 

 

Both are hard workers and great team leaders. Congratulations to them both !
