NATIONAL PREPAREDNESS MONTH - DAY 12
During a Catastrophic Emergency,
You'll Need to Know How to Communicate with Others
With the power out, you'll start to feel isolated
pretty quickly. But during an
emergency, it will be more important than ever to
stay in touch with those around you.
Fortunately you can still communicate if you make
sure you have the right tools. We here in Limestone County has first hand experience with this. Remember the 2011 tornadoes; those with cell phones had no service for several days. Cell phones
service can and do crash
in emergencies – particularly when everyone is
trying to make calls.
