Joyce Wales, 88 of Madison, Alabama died on Sunday, November 29, 2015, at Valley View Nursing Home in Madison, Alabama. Born Friday, July 15, 1927 in Wichita Falls, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Shelton and the late Lizzie Eckstein Shelton. She was a lifelong resident of the Ardmore area and a member of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed flower gardening and her friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband: Linzie Wales.
Surviving are son, Ray Wales of Elkmont, AL, daughter, Joan Haney of Elkmont, AL, brother, C H Shelton of Elkmont, AL, grandchildren: Kevin Haney, Jamie Haney, and Jason Wales, and great-grandchildren: Malorie Haney, Shelby Wales, and Sawyer Wales.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Buddy Payne, and Bro. Tommy Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
