ELEMENTARY 3RD QUARTER "A" HONOR ROLL
It's
hard to believe but school is now in its last nine weeks. That means
report cards have been issued and the honor roll for the last nine
weeks is here. We are excited to tell you about all the wonderful
students that made the "A " Honor Roll at Elkmont Elementary School for
the third quarter.
The "A" Honor roll is made up of straight A students. Look for the
middle school "A" honor roll tomorrow and the high school on Thursday. Grades 1-3 are graded differently and no longer have a honor roll.

WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A CHEF IN 4-H
Logan Jones and Colby Schaar represented Elkmont High School well. They placed second out of twenty-one participants who competed in the Chef contest in the Limestone County 4-H Roundup held March 28.
Not only did these boys have to demonstrate how to make their favorite dish but had to stand up in front of strangers and speak as they were making it.
These boys blew my mind and they are just ten years old. I can not say enough about how proud I am of these two. I am one proud teacher! Pride, Purpose, Persistence!

ELKMONT BETAS ARE GOING TO NATIONALS
The various Senior Beta clubs around the state met in Birmingham for a two day convention of fun and competition, March 30-31. Elkmont High School attended and brought back several awards to the Hilltop. Some of them will be going to the National Convention to compete.
Our girls placed 3rd in the Special Talent competition! Way to go!
We also have some other winners of various competitions:
All achieved second place and are moving on to Nationals...
*Poetry: Riley Cook *Science: Coleman Cook *Creative Writing: Shannon Dison
*Beta Build: Guadalupe Salgado, Claudia Allen, Emily Norman, and Shelby Norman
Beta Build is a competition that gives teams a box of supplies to create a Rube Goldberg (a comically involved, complicated invention, laboriously contrived to perform a simple operation) project.
LIMESTONE COUNTY 4-H ROUNDUP
Each year, the Limestone County Round-Up is held and gives 4-H members a chance to
