KYWANA LONG McCLUSKEY - OBITUARY

Kywana Long McCluskey, 38 of Pulaski died Tuesday at Southern Tennessee Regional Hospital in Giles County, TN.

Services will be 1PM Saturday at Sardis Spring Baptist Church with Marshall Norman and Cecil Norman officiating, burial will be in Sardis Spring Cemetery, visitation is from 12noon until 1pm Saturday at the church.

Mrs. McCluskey was born May 20, 1977 in Limestone County and she was a member of the Baptist Church.

Husband: Harwell McCluskey of Pulaski, TN

Sons:  
Caleb Partrick of Elkmont, AL, Ben McCluskey of Pulaski, TN

Daughter: Amber Partrick of Leoma, TN 

Step-Sons: 
Bruce McCluskey of Pulaski, Curtis McCluskey of Florence, AL. Joshua McCluskey of Lakeland, FL 

Step-Daughter: Cassie McCluskey of Lakeland, FL 

Four Step-Grandchildren 

Mother: Gertie Smith and husband Floyd (Kayo) of Ardmore, AL  

Brother: David Long of Elkmont, AL 

Sisters: Melinda Chandler of Athens, AL, Mechille Long of Ardmore, AL 

Several Nieces and Nephews.

It breaks my heart to say it, but Owl Creek Boutique is closing. I am going to be running a sale on my stuff until the end of the month and some of my vendors will be as well.

JOHN WALTON "ANDY" ANDERSON - OBITUARY

John Walton “Andy” Anderson age 69 of Elkmont, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015. Mr. Anderson was born February 11, 1946 in Morgan County, AL to Robert Walton Anderson and Elizabeth Townsend Anderson.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 16, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Wednesday, 1:30 pm., at Roselawn Cemetery Athens, AL with Pastor Mike Green officiating.

Mr. Anderson was a member of First United Methodist Church of Decatur, AL. He was a longtime board member of Alabama Farm Credit, and a lifelong Limestone County Farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Jan Anderson of Elkmont, AL; three sons, Gregory Len Anderson and wife, Cece, John Walton Anderson, Jr., and Robert Owen Anderson, all of Athens; three grandchildren, Mary Gregory Anderson, William Campbell Anderson, and John McPhail Anderson; grandmother, Hazel McCaghren Anderson of Pittsburgh, PA; one brother, Jack Talbot Anderson and wife, Shara of Decatur, AL; three nephews.

Pallbearers will be Gregory Len Anderson, John Walton Anderson, Jr., Robert Owen Anderson, Burt Talbot Anderson, Jack Talbot Anderson, Jr., and Ben Walton Anderson. Honorary pallbearers will be William Campbell Anderson and John McPhail Anderson.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Hospital, The American Cancer Society, or First United Methodist Church of Athens, AL.

CHARLES SANFORD CLEM - OBITUARY

Mr. Charles Sanford Clem, age 84 of Athens, AL died Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Athens Limestone Hospital. 


Mr. Clem was a Member of the Faith Tabernacle Church, Elkmont, AL, A retired heavy equipment operator from the Bamsi Corporation. 

He was preceded in death by his parents: Fred & Alma Clem, Sister: Nona Williams, Brothers: Elmer, Junior, Virgil, Harold (Buddy) & Don Clem.

Visitation will be Wednesday 6-9 PM at Spry Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015, 11 AM at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Donald Clem & Bruce Addison officiating. Burial will be in the Roselawn Cemetery.

SADIE LOUISE WRIGHT - OBITUARY

Sadie Louise Wright, 64 of Elkmont, Alabama passed away on Friday, December 11, 2015, at her home in Elkmont, Alabama.
Born Thursday, June 28, 1951 in Scottsboro, Alabama she was the daughter of the late Jenny Sanders Davis. She was preceded in death by husband, Billy Ray Wright and son-in-law Alan Dawson.

She moved from Madison County to Ardmore three years ago. She was a member of Carters Grove Basptist Church and enjoyed singing, kids, and spending time with her grandchildren..

Surviving are daughter, Lisa Dawson of Elkmont, AL; son, Brian (Christy) Wright, Ardmore, TN; grandchildren, Ryan Dawson, Brilee & Zachary Wright.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Billy Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Pinehaven Cemetery in Hollywood, Alabama.
 
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, December 14, 2015, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.

TCP AND HELPING VETERANS AT CHRISTMAS

The Coupon Patrol is spreading good cheer again this Christmas. Their next major donation project will be to help the Homeless and Homeless Vets. Last year's drive blessed so many lives. Here is the post from last year sharing what TCP was able to do through the efforts of those whom participated, Have You Heard What Coupon Patrol Did?

In an effort to get more people involved this year, they are giving us plenty of time to find those good holiday deals, or to make things to share.  It is a great time to show a homeless veteran that although some have forgotten them, not everyone has.  The smallest of things can make a difference in their lives. To some a pair of new socks is not that much, but to someone homeless they are a priceless gift.

This is the list we have so far, items will be added to the list as details become available. 
*Gently Used Coats, but please make sure they are usable.
*Blankets, gloves, coats, boggins (on sale at Walmart right now), socks,underwear,thermal underwear
*Small propane tanks, hand warmers,  tarps, garbage bags for ground cover 
*Food, coffee, soups,especially Raman noodles  
*Women's hygiene products, toiletries, stamps, envelopes and pens.

We do ask that you use a marker and draw a line through any bar codes, this keeps any item from being returned to a store for cash.

For those who like to make their

donations:
If you would like to knit or crochet socks, scarves, or caps, it would be very much appreciated. Lots of colors are fine.  It will give you a chance to use those small leftover balls of yarn.  Also, there are several ideas on Google about making ground cover mats out of plastic grocery bags. If you are interested in knitting those, any of the TCP staff will be more than happy to come pick them up from you.
