Mr. and Mrs. John Morris of Elkmont announce the engagement of their daughter Laura Ann Morris to Erik Gerhard Schultink, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerhardus Schultink of Williamston, Mich.
The bridge-elect is the granddaughter of Lavon and Dorothy Fogg of Elkmont and the late Winston and Doris Morris.
She is a 2003 graduate of the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science and a 2007 graduate of Harvard University where she received a bachelor’s degree in social studies. She will be pursuing a master’s degree in business administration this fall at the London School of Business in England.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Willis and Birdie Thurber and Gerhardus and Nellie Schultink.
He is a 2003 graduate of Williamston High School and a 2007 graduate of Harvard University where he received a bachelor’s degree in computer science.
He is employed at Tuenti, an Internet company based in Madrid, as chief technical officer.
The wedding is planned for Sept. 1 in Tuscany, Italy.
