FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS AT CENTRAL

Big regional game for the Elkmont Red Devils.  A win tonight would almost cement them into the playoffs.  It will be nippy tonight so bring so heavy coats, gloves and blankets.  Best of luck to our boys in Red.

BRRR....A cold front will pass through the area by the early afternoon.  Any rain should be ending after the front passes.  Winds will switch from the south to the west immediately behind the front.  Those winds could be somewhat breezy.  Sustained speeds should be between 10-20 mph, but a gust to 25 or 30 mph is possible.  The wind will eventually switch to the northwest, driving noticeably cooler air into the Valley. Temperatures will fall into the 50s this evening

Offensively the team is rolling behind running backs Corinthian Graham and Denton Chandler, who combined for four touchdowns a week ago. ... The defense, which is allowing 30.6 points per game, has struggled against better opposition ... Fourth-year head coach Sean Holt appears to have things turned around at Elkmont after winning just five games the past two seasons ... Last week’s 35-14 victory over New Hope gave the Red Devils their fourth win of the season — the first time the team has reached this mark before October since 2008 ... Central and Elkmont have not met since 2003; a game the Wildcats won 49-20.
