GEORGE EDWARD CLEM - OBITUARY

Mr. George Edward Clem, age 84 of Elkmont, died Thursday at his residence. Service will be 2PM Saturday at Spry Funeral Home, Chapel, with Bobby Marks officiating, burial in Roselawn Cemetery, visitation is from 6-9PM Friday at Spry’s.

Mr. Clem was born August 20, 1930 in Elkmont to Eddie Clem and Eva Phillips Clem, he was a member of Zehner Road Methodist Church, Athens, a United States Navy Combat Veteran of the Korean War, served aboard the UIvert M Moore Destroyer Escort ship, and retired from The Athens Police Department after serving 30 years.

Preceded in death by wife: Mary Ann Taylor Clem, parents: Eddie and Eva Phillips Clem, Step-Mother: Birdie Jones Clem.

Survivors:

Michael Clem & wife Holly Moats Clem, Elkmont 
*Grandson: 
    Matthew Clem, Mississippi State University
*Granddaughter: 
   Hannah Clem of Elkmont 
*Brother: Paul Wayne Clem of Athens

Pallbearers will be Athens Police Officers and former Officers. The Burial service will be conducted by the Athens Police Honor Guard.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County
