HOW DID OUR CROSS COUNTRY TEAM DO LAST WEEK?


OCTOBER 20
Either hot or raining this year !! Great job by the girls and boys at St. Bernards today!! Kids worked hard in not so great conditions. Claudia Allen received a t-shirt for 17th place finish overall. Season has flown by. One more regular season race before sectionals.
 
OCTOBER 16
Chilly temperatures and a steady rain didn't hold back high school runners at the 42nd annual Athens Bible Invitational cross country meet at the Athens Sportsplex.The race, the oldest continuous cross country race in Alabama, went off without a hitch, and local runners put in some good performances. 


Elkmont finished eighth in the team competition, with Christian Smith's 41st-place finish being the top Red Devil performance. Smith's time was 20:11.07. Also scoring for Elkmont were Jon Mikel Owens, Brantley Hammock, Jonah Smith and Preston Brown.

In the girls race, Elkmont's Claudia Allen was the top local finisher, placing seventh in the 4A-7A division in a time of 21:55.46. The Red Devils were eighth as a team, with Jazmin Ristau, Britney Clem, Emma Guithrie and Abby Hastings also scoring points.
