WHAT GOOD ARE SODA CAN TABS?

The Elkmont community has another youngster who is battling cancer, Leah Seibert.  We want to support her and her family as much as possible during this difficult trial in their lives.  One way is by collecting the tab from top of your coke can.   That little tab that you use to open your soda makes a BIG difference at Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Memphis  Collect Pop Tabs at home, work, school, church or in your community organization.  In 2012, Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Memphis received more than $28,000 from Pop Tabs alone. Tabs are donated from individuals, schools, clubs and businesses.

You can help Leah by saving those tabs and dropping them off at the following locations:

*Elkmont High School
*Front Desk Athens City Hall - 1806 Wilkinson Drive
(write "For Vickie Dowd" on the container)
*Elkmont Church of Christ

Let the Hill Spirit know (you can message on facebook) if your church or organization is also involved

Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Memphis - at no charge to our guests - provides supportive services and a "home-away-from-home" for St.  Jude families and their children receiving treatment for cancer and other catastrophic illnesses.

Families are stronger when they are together, and their presence helps a sick child heal faster and cope better. While Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Memphis cannot make medicine taste better or take away painful treatments, we can help lessen the burden and ensure families have the stability and resources to keep their child healthy and happy.

We enable families to focus on the health of their children rather than anything else - paying bills, cooking meals or cleaning the House. Families are allowed to preserve a sense of normalcy with warm beds, warm meals, and warm hugs from other families fighting the same battle.
