EXCELLENCE IN AGRICULTURE LIVES IN ELKMONT

The Alabama Farmers Federation held their 95th annual meeting in Montgomery, December 4-5.  Elkmont's Ben Maples received several honors.

So proud of Ben, Heather, Jane, and Lydia for winning the Alabama Excellence in Ag Award. Check out this short video about them and the family farm. 

Limestone County Young Farmers Chairman Ben Maples accepted the award for Outstanding Young Farmers Committee in division 2. He is pictured with 2017 Young Farmers Chairman Jerry Allen Newby of Limestone County.
 

Ben is Elkmont High School's agriculture teacher and sponsor of the school FFA program.
