ELKMONT TRACK AND FIELD TEAM HAVE BIG SHOWING IN RUSSELLVILLE

I want to recognize our track athletes and the the hard work these kids are putting in. Track has never had a big school following and usually the fans at the meets are the parents. 

Last night, the Elkmont Red Devils team placed second out of sixteen teams at Russellville. 

*Noah Sharp won the 110 and 300 meter hurdles. He also place third in the 400 meter race.

*Brantley Hammock placed third in the 3200 meter. 


*Boys 4x400 team placed third.
Alex Armstrong, Chance Bailey, Jay Mullis, Noah Sharp
 

*Boys 4x800 team placed first.
Alex Armstrong, Chance Bailey, Brantley Hammock, Jay Mullis 

*Jay Mullis fourth in Long Jump. 
 
*Chance Bailey won the 1600 meter and the 800 meter races. 

The Lady Devils had several runners who placed in their events. *Kaylee Varney earned fourth in the 300 meters hurdles. Brianna Barnett placed fourth in discus field event.

These guys work hard and I am very proud to recognize their accomplishments. Congratulation to Ardmore's boys team who finished third. Track teams all across our county are working hard. Our sectionals are Friday and Saturday at James Clemens. I wish everyone a great meet! Have a good one!
