KICKIN' RED DEVILS END SEASON

Elkmont's soccer team was the better team on Tuesday night, both off and on the field. Unfortunately, a disproportionate number of penalty shots doomed the Red Devils as they fell to St. Bernard's Preparatory School 3-1.

In his last game, Senior Juan Mendoza opened up the scoring for Elkmont. The teams were tied 1-1 at half. St. Bernard's was given scoring opportunities twice in the last twelve minutes to round out the scoring.

Tee Boyd, who has been consistent all season, had a phenomenal game at goalie. Jeffrey Payne, Van Hamlin, and Franklin Vicente filled in some critical vacancies on the offensive end of the field.

Sebastian Amaya's passion for the game solidified his role as crowd favorite. Santiago Altamirano anchored the defense despite a gimpy hamstring, displaying perfect form in multiple slide tackles.

And, the playoff atmosphere brought the best out in the Red Devil fans, taking "loud and proud" to a new level. Congratulations to Coach Ryan, Coach Thackerson, and the Elkmont Red Devils on an amazing season. You make Elkmont very proud.
