The funeral for Robert E. “Doll” Posey, 90, of Elkmont will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Arvid McGuire officiating. Burial will be in Hester Cemetery. Visitation is from 6-9 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Posey died Saturday, July 2, 2011, at Limestone Health Facility.
Mr. Posey was born Sept. 14, 1920. He attended Rockyway School of Lester. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed riding and showing walking horses. MHe was a member of the Minor Hill Saddle Club for several years. He was a carpenter and farmer.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Inez Posey; his parents, Robert H. Posey and Nelly C. Posey; one son, Jackey Posey and two babies; three brothers, J.C., Otis and Hooper Posey.
Survivors include his daughter Wanda Scott and husband Stanley; and his two sons, Johnny Posey and wife Brenda, and Marty Posey; and two sisters, Vanetta Mewbourne of Athens and Marie McGill of Rogersville; grandchildren: Tammy Clinard (Lynn Clinard), Sonya Ferguson (Bennie Holt), Amanda Nafe (Alex Nafe), John Posey, Rob Posey, Ryan Posey and Cameron Posey; great-grandchildren, Aaron Lovell, Kalynn, Gracen and Westin Clinard, Dillon Ferguson, Ashten and Austen Willard, Matthew, Evan and Baby Jackey Posey; one great-great grandchild, Gregory Aiden Lovell; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Dillon Ferguson, Aaron Lovell and John, Ryan, Matthew and Rob Posey.
Honorary pallbearers are Ashten and Austen Willard, Kalynn, Gracen and Westin Clinard.
