The graveside service for William “Billy” Sutton, 90, of Athens will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Athens City Cemetery with Daniel Tucker officiating. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Spry Funeral home.
Mr. Sutton died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at Limestone Health Facility.
Billy Sutton was born Nov. 13, 1922, in Limestone County to William Riley Sutton and Lettie Hagood Sutton. He was a retired TV repairman. Mr. Sutton was a member of Northside Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Michelle Garner; and sister, Evelyn Sutton.
Survivors include his sons, Barry Sutton and wife Mandy of Elkmont, and Allen Sutton and wife Teresa of Athens; daughter, Faye Boyd and husband Preston of Athens; brother, Bonnie Sutton of Athens; sister, Bessie Gladney of Athens; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
