Mandatory Parent Orientation Meeting    Monday, August 4, 2014 at 5:30 PM in the cafeteria
Mandatory Parent Orientation Meeting    Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 7:00 PM in the cafeteria
Dear Parents,

Beginning with 2014-15 school year, all third and fourth grade students in Limestone County will be issued a Macbook Air laptop to enhance the learning environment. The laptops are issued to students and they will be responsible for transporting them to home/school each day.

There is a $50 technology usage fee which will be due at the beginning of the school year in August. After paying the fee, your child will be able to use their laptop in class as well as at home. If you are not able to pay the $50 fee, your child will still be issued a laptop but it will remain at school each day. Since this is a new fee, we wanted to provide you a few weeks before August.

In addition to the usage fee, it is necessary for you to attend a mandatory Parent Orientation meeting. We are offering two different meeting times and dates to accommodate your schedule. At the meeting, parents will be provided with information regarding the Digital Passport Initiative, how technology will be used in the classroom, and your role as a parent with regards to technology. This meeting will be an opportunity for you to sign all the required technology forms and pay the $50 usage fee prior to the start of the school year.

Please attend one of the meetings on the following dates:

  • Monday, August 4, 2014 at 5:30 PM in the cafeteria
  • Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 7:00 PM in the cafeteria

We look forward to seeing you in August 5 for open house! Have a great summer!

Sincerely,
Garth Garris
