Mrs. Clara Allen Stanford, 90 of Elkmont, died Wednesday at National Health Care in Pulaski, Tennessee. Mrs. Stanford was born May 2, 1925 in Giles County, Tennessee,
she was a member of Elkmont Church of Christ and retired from Athens
Lingerie. Services will be 11AM Saturday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Ferguson officiating, burial in Antioch Cemetery, visitation is from 6-9PM Friday at Spry Funeral Home.
Survivors: Sons: Phillip R. Stanford of Athens, James Allen Stanford and wife Elaine of Taft, TN, Randy D. Stanford and wife Judy of Elkmont; Daughter-in-Laws: Elizabeth Stanford of Prospect, TN, Faye Stanford of Ardmore, AL; Six Grandchildren; Thirteen Great Grandchildren; One Great Great Grandson.
Pallbearers: Gabriel Stanford, Chad Stanford, Neil Stanford, Jeff Wales, Robert Erwin, Mark Palmer.
Preceded in death by: Parents: Jessie & Georgia Daly Appleton; Husband: James Hughey Stanford; Son: Charles David Stanford; Sisters: Angelean Campbell, Jean Hill, Elizabeth Marbut; Brothers: Monroe & Edd Appleton.
