STATE AND LOCAL ELECTIONS - ELKMONT

Even if you have decided you aren't voting for President, it is important you vote in your local elections (down ticket).  This is where your vote has the most influence and does make a difference.  Don't automatically vote straight ticket (just for one party).  There are some excellent candidates who are running as Independents you may want to support. Take the time to learn about them. Names are facebook links.

UNITED STATES SENATOR

RICHARD SHELBY (Incumbent)
RON CRUMPTON

UNITED STATES REPRESENTATIVE

MO BROOKS (Incumbent)

DR. WILL BOYD

COUNTY COMMISSIONER
BILL DAWS (Independent)

BEN HARRISON (Incumbent)

DISTRICT ATTORNEY
KRISTI VALLS  (Independent)

BRIAN C.T. JONES (Incumbent)

IT HAS BEEN 5 YEARS IN THE MAKING BUT WE GET TO VOTE FOR OUR FIRST SCHOOL BOARD REPRESENTATIVE FOR THE NEW SCHOOL DISTRICT, #3.

Ronald R. Christ Junior is running unopposed but let's give him a big turnout to show our support. Link to the first of blog post about the struggle to get our own representative after years of the Elkmont High School district (Piney Chapel and Elkmont School districts being split between the West Limestone and Ardmore districts.

Hill Spirit finally found a good picture of Ronald.  He must be one of those "I don't like my picture taken" people.  This is an older photo but it is a cutie. Any picture with a baby is a cutie.
