DAKOTA McCURLEY ACHIEVES ON AND OFF THE DIAMOND

All four of Calhoun Community College’s athletic teams were recognized nationally and statewide for academic success with a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. The National Junior College Athletic Association and Alabama Community College Conference honored softball for a 3.45 GPA, women’s golf for a 3.2 GPA, men’s golf for a 3.06 GPA and baseball for a 3.04 GPA.

Elkmont's Dakota McCurley made the  NJCAA All-Academic first team with a 4.0 GPA.

Item of Interest:
Calhoun is shuttering their athletic programs after the spring of 2018. However,
Dakota McCurley and Brandi Bentley, both Elkmont graduates, are rising sophomores for the Calhoun softball team but will be able to finish their careers at the school before the program is shut down.
