Sharon Kyle Amerson, age 64 of Athens, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at her residence. Sharon was born October 14, 1952 in Limestone County to Coleman Emberton and Reba Jones Emberton. She was a member of New Oakland Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Carol Jean Emberton and Patricia Stanford, and one brother, Danny Ray Emberton.
Survivors include: one son, Festes Gene Kyle, her daughter-in-law, Tracy Lynn Kyle of Athens, AL; two daughters, Sabrina Sue Bailey and husband Steve of Athens, AL; Kittey Michelle Mendez and husband Carlos Ortiz of Athens, AL; one brother, Harold Emberton, four sisters, Connie Kellum of Decatur, AL; Annie Higgs of Elkmont, AL; Katie Walker of Vancleave, MS; Birdie Kay Burroughs of Athens, AL; 10 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be: Alberto Vega, Edger Vega, Steven Weaver, Billy Kyle, Darrell Jackson, Harold Emberton, and Larry Copeland.
The funeral service was Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 3 p.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel Visitation was Saturday from 1 to 2:45 p.m. Dwight Raburn officiated.
