- There is no track practice today. The track meet scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled.
- All Special Olympians and helpers report to lobby immediately after announcements.
- The Special Olympics are today at Tanner. Best of luck to participants, and a big thank you to our teachers, students, and Mr. Jordan for volunteering for this event.
- State Baseball Playoffs begin today. Our players will need to be excused after 5th Period. An e-mail of the list of names has been sent out. They are playing a best 2 out of 3 series at Lauderdale County. Two games will be today. The first game is at 4:30 and the second game is at 7:00. One game on Saturday if necessary at 1:00.
WEDNESDAY:
- Sr. Beta, meet in the New Gym parking lot at 6am tomorrow morning to go to convention, and bring enough money for 5 meals. See Mrs. Schmidt if you have any questions.
- There is a softball game today, and it begins at 2:00. All 7th grade teachers will collect the $2.00 admission fee. Place the money in an envelope and send it to the office. I will go room to room dismissing those attending. All will go to the front of th new gym to meet Mr. Jordan. He will escort you to the game. We will leave the game at 3 to return to the building.
- Varsity Softball Team is leaving at 11:30, and Middle School players are leaving at 1:00.
- Congratulations to the varsity girls' golf team. They won the Limestone County Golf Tournament championship yesterday at Canebrake, and congratulations to the varsity boys' golf team for their 3rd place finish in the county tournament. Quin Martin and Sarah Christopher made the all county tournament team.
TUESDAY:
- Congratulations to the softball team. They beat Ardmore in two games. Today is the 2:00 game vs. East. Varsity players are to be dismissed at 11:30, and middle school players are to be dismissed at 1:00 to go to the field. Teachers all money should be counted and turned in to Ms. Miller in the office before you leave for the game.
- Boxtop winners are: Michael Adams, Sara Beth Curnutt, and Kaylee Varney.
- Junior and Senior Scholar's Bowl practice Wednesday after school in Ms. Swinea's room.
MONDAY:
- Basketball Spring tryouts will begin April 30 for boys in grades 8-11. PLease make sure you turn in the appropriate paperwork to Coach Garris if you are interested.
- Softball plays here today vs. Ardmore starting at 4:30.
- Tomorrow is the 2:00 in-school softball game.
- Middle School Boys Basketball tryouts will be next Monday, the 23rd; Wednesday, the 25th; and Thursday, the 26th of April. You have to have forms turned in to Coach Sutton by Thursday of this week. If you have any questions contact Coach Sutton.
- Poetry Tech Club meets tomorrow after school in Mrs. Baker's room.
- Congratulations to the Elkmont Middle School Boys Baseball team. They won 8 to 0 Saturday to finish the season 15 - 9. Also congratulations to Eli Hobbs. He threw a no hitter Saturday at Westminster.
- Congrads to the Elkmont Varsity Baseball team. They won both games of a double header Saturday, 13 - 12 and 12 - 7.
- Varsity baseball plays at Athens Bible School @ 4 pm
