She was the daughter of the late Asa Lee Pylant and Mary Elizabeth Collins Pylant.. She was preceded in death by son, Gary Gates, brothers; Thomas "Tom" Pylant, David Pylant, Vernon Pylant, and sister, Nina Turner. She is survived by son Wade Gates, Elkmont, AL ,daughters Sheryl Morris, Ardmore, AL, Sherry Appleton, Minor Hill, TN, Patricia Miller, Elkmont, AL, Donna Whitfield, Prospect, TN, sister Margret Rolin, Prospect, TN, twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She lived in this area all of her life and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and working with flowers. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday, April 16, 2012 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Al. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home with Brother Sammy Brister officiating. Burial will be at Pettusville Cemetery, Elkmont, Al. |
