Mildred Moss Vanderford age 81 of Athens, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2013 at Athens-Limestone Hospital. Ms. Vanderford was born October 12, 1932 in Limestone County to Jewell Lerman Morris and Laura Lou Adams Morris.
Services for Ms. Vanderford are Monday, November 11, 2013 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be Sunday, November 10, 2013 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lentzville Cemetery with Steve Ferguson and Brent Hawkins officiating.
She attended First Union Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Jack Lawrence and Joe Moss and wife Ladonna; daughters, Theresa Moss and Laura Barnett and husband Jimmy; 12 grandchildren; 12 Great-grandchildren; sister, Wynell Nancy Stewart; several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Laura Lou Morris; daughters, Cathy Morris and Frances Holley; granddaughter, Susan McMeans.
Pallbearers are Michael McMeans, Heath Moss, B.J. Moss, Jody Moss, Dillon Peck and Austin Moss. Honorary pallbearers are great-grandsons
