Sarah Butler, 88 of Prospect, Tennessee died on Friday, November 8, 2013, at her home.  Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 11, 2013, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Jerry Dryden and Bro. Jason Powell officiating. Burial will be in Hasting Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, November 10, 2013, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.

Born Tuesday, January 6, 1925 in Ardmore, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Biggerstaff and the late Tommie Magnusson Biggerstaff. She was a member of Delrose Church of Christ and loved to cook, quilt, and going to yardsales. She was a cook at Elkton School for 39 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Matt Butler, a daughter: Kristy Butler, and a brother: Mabron Biggerstaff.

Surviving are son, Robert "Bobby" & wife Barbara Butler of Ardmore, TN, brother, Sam & wife Ann Biggerstaff of Elkmont, AL, one granddaughter: Lori (Stuart) Gatlin of Athens, one great-grandson: John Wyatt Gatlin, nieces: Joan Brock, Brenda Anderson, and Shari Biggerstaff, nephews: Rod Biggerstaff, Steve Biggerstaff, Marvin Biggerstaff, Brad Biggerstaff, and Jimmy Butler, and special caregivers: Pam Blade, Margaret Rolin, Sarah Campbell, and Janice Gibson.
