SENIOR NIGHT AT BOSS HILL STADIUM

At Elkmont High School, we recognize our Seniors who have been involved in the football season (the football players, cheerleaders, band) and cross country.  This special event is called Senior Night and happens during the last home football game.  This year we had sixteen seniors take that long last walk down the field.  Wishing them the best life has to offer.



OUR SENIORS FOR 2013-2014

Football

Rhett Bailey – Rhett is the son of Kevin and Missy Bailey.  He has been a member of the Varsity Football, Basketball, and Baseball teams for the past four years.  Rhett is the Senior Class President and was selected as a Class Favorite for the Senior Class.  On campus, he is a member of the Senior Beta Club, FCA, Elkmont Ambassador Club, and Spanish Club.  He is also a member of the Athens Junior Civitan Club and the Limestone County Student Senate.  Rhett was awarded the 2013 Honored Hero of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  Rhett is an advocate for St. Jude.  His future plans are to attend UAB and pursue a degree in medicine.  
 
Kris Gooch – Kris is the son of Tommy Gooch and Brandi Bostic.  He has been a member of the Varsity Football Team for four years. Kris is a member of the Senior Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, FCA, and Limestone County Gifted Program.  Kris plans to join the U.S. Navy and earn a degree in law.  He aspires to become the youngest Supreme Court Justice.  

Derek Lovell –Derek is the son of Jeff and Jan Lovell.  He has been a member of the Varsity Football Team for four years.  He is a member of the Senior Beta Club, Spanish Club, and FCA.  Derek plans to join the Navy and become an officer.  

Nick Moore – Nick is the son of Mark and Amanda Moore.  He has been a member of the Varsity Football Team for four years.  Nick is a member of the Senior Beta Club.  He plans to attend college in the fall to pursue a degree in Engineering.


Cody Thomas –Cody is the son of Jeff and Leigh Thomas.  He has been a member of the Varsity Football Team for four years.  Cody is a member of FCA and FFA.  He is very active in his church and volunteers for various community events.  In the fall, Cody plans to attend Calhoun Community College to pursue a trade in HVAC.


Cheerleaders 
 
Jensen Pugh– Jensen is the daughter of Barry and Leigh Pugh. Jensen is a member of the Principal’s Advisory Board and Senior BETA Club.  She also served as the 2012 Youth Representative for the Athens City Chamber of Commerce.  Jensen has been a member of the EHS Cheerleading Squad for 5 years, and she is serving as Captain this year.  Jensen is also a member of the Cross Country and Track teams, where she has lettered in both JV and Varsity.  Jensen was chosen as the 2013 Girls State Representative for Elkmont High School.  She is a volunteer for the Elkmont Lions Club, and she attends Westview Church of Christ.  In the fall, Jensen plans to attend college to pursue a degree in nursing.  



Band

Brianne Hargrove – Brianne is the daughter of David and Regina Hargrove.  Brianne has been a member of the Marching Band for five years and Concert Band for seven years.  She has also been a member of the Color Guard for four years, where she served as Captain all four years.  Brianne has participated in the Limestone County Honor Band and the UNA Extravaganza.  She was elected as the Senior Class Secretary.  She is also a member of the National Honor Society, Senior Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, FCCLA, FFA, FCA, and Limestone County Gifted Program.  Brianne participated in the Limestone County Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Program.  She is very active in church and volunteers for various community events.  Brianne was awarded the Limestone County Distinguished Young Woman for 2014.  She plans to attend UNA in the fall and major in Interior Design and Photography.    

Payton Ikard – Payton is the son of Mike and Sirena Ikard.  He has been a member of the Marching for five years and Concert Band for four years.  Payton plans to attend Nashville Auto Diesel College and restore cars.

 Karen McNeill – Karen is the daughter of Jennifer McNeill.  Karen has been a member of the Marching Band for five years and Concert Band for seven years.  She has been the flute and piccolo section leader for the past four years.  Karen is also a member of the National Honor Society, Senior Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, FCA, Elkmont Ambassador Club, and Limestone County Gifted Program.  She participated in the Limestone County Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Program and is a former HOBY Ambassador.  Karen is very active in her church youth group and volunteers for various community events.  In the fall, she plans to attend college and major in Social Work.  Her goal is to get a Master’s degree in Social Services. 

Casey Newport – Casey is the daughter of Robby and Dana Newport.  She has been a member of the Marching Band for five years and a member of the Color Guard for the past three years.  On campus, Casey participates in FCA, FCCLA, and First Priority.  She is a member of the Elkmont United Methodist Church where she is very active in the Youth program and is also a member of the church choir.  Casey plans to attend the Calhoun Community College and pursue a degree in Pediatric Nursing. 

Quterrais Williams – Quterrais is the son of Drenda Cosby.  He has been a member of the Marching Band for five years and Concert Band for six years.  Quterrais is also a member of the Limestone County Honor Band and the UNA Extravaganza.  Quterrais has been a member of the Senior Beta for three years. He plans to attend college in the fall.

Cross Country



Jensen Pugh -  we have all ready met her under cheerleaders; very busy lady.

Josh Ferrazas – Josh is the son of Joe Ferrazas.  He has been a member of the Cross Country team for one year and the Track and Field team for the past four years, where he competed in the 4-by-1 relay. Josh played Varsity Football Team for four years.  He is the Senior Class Vice-President and was selected as a Class Favorite for the Senior Class. While on campus, he volunteers his time tutoring Elementary students.    Josh maintains a high average while holding down a full-time job after school.  In the fall, he plans to attend Calhoun Community College for his basics and later transfer to a university to pursue a Master’s Degree in Management, with a minor in Entrepeneurship

Tyler Helms – Tyler is the son of Chris and Michelle Helms.  He has been a member of the Cross Country and Track teams for the past four years, where he received All-County, All-Area, Sectional, and All-State honors. Tyler is a member of the Senior Beta Club, FFA, and FCA. Tyler is very active in his youth group at Truth Baptist Church.  In the fall, he plans to attend college and pursue a degree that will allow him to find a good job and settle down. 

Chandler Johnson – Chandler is the son of Terri and Matthew Schrimsher.  He has been a member of the Cross Country and Track teams for the past four years.  Chandler is a member of the Senior Beta Club, FFA, and FCA. He participated in the Limestone County Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Program.  Chandler is a member of the Truth Baptist Church Youth Group where he is very active in all the community events.  In the fall, he plans to attend college and pursue a four-year degree.

Adam McMahan – Adam is the son of Brandon and Brandy McMahan.  Adam has been a member of the Cross Country and Track and Field teams, where he has received honors on various levels.  Adam holds the school record for the two-mile.  For the past two years, Adam has also participated in baseball and basketball.  Adam was selected as a Class Favorite for the Senior Class.  On campus, he is a member of the Senior Beta Club, FCA, Student Advisory Board, and Mu Alpha Theta.  Adam participated in the Limestone County Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Program. Adam is a member of Truth Baptist Church where he volunteers for various community events.  In the fall, Adam plans to attend the University of South Alabama to pursue a degree in Pharmacy. 

Nick Shelton – Nick is the son of Howie and Julie Shelton.  He has been a member of the Cross Country and Track teams for the past four years.  Nick is the Senior Class Treasurer.  On campus, he is a member of the Senior Beta Club and Mu Alpha Theta.  He is very active in his youth group at church.  In the fall, Nick plans to study Pediatric Oncology and Hematology at the University of South Alabama.
