Mrs. Abernathy was born October 9, 1920 in Limestone County, she was a member of Northside Church of Christ and a retired cook.
Preceded in death by Husband: Robert H. Abernathy; Daughter: Martha Ann Thompson; Grandson: Allen Dale Thompson;
Survivors: Sons: James Abernathy of Elkmont, AL and Larry Abernathy of Elkmont, AL; Daughter: Jane Barksdale of Athens, AL; 10 Grandchildren; Several Great and Great Great Grandchildren.
Visitation was from 10-11:30AM Saturday at Spry Funeral Home, there was a Graveside Service 12noon Saturday at O’Neal Cemetery with Bud White officiating.
