Joy Bagsby, 85 of Toney, Alabama died on Saturday, September 3, 2016, at her home. Born Sunday, June 14, 1931 in Elkmont, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Brown and the late Connie Phillips Brown. She was a lifelong resident of this area and was a member of County Lake Full Gospel Church. She loved flowers and taking care of her children. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: James Daniel Bagsby, a son: Delmer Eugene Bagsby, four brothers and one sister.
Surviving are sons, James Erle (Martha) Bagsby of New Market, AL, Billy Joe Bagsby of Toney, AL, Stanley Ray (Linda) Bagsby of Ardmore, AL, John David Bagsby of Madison, AL, Roger Dale (Teppi) Bagsby of Toney, AL and Jeffrey Dwayne Keller of Madison, AL, daughters, Shirley Bryant of Toney, AL, Sharon (Craig) Quillin of Elkmont, AL, Martha (Terry) Thomas of Athens, AL and Diane (Jon) Polard of New Market, AL, sister, Margie Grimes of Spring Hill, TN, 19 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 2 gr-gr-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Earl Holder amd Bro. Lynn Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Legg Cemetery, Athens, AL.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, September 5, 2016, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
