Graveside for Ruth C. Elmore, 95, of Decatur, will be Thursday at noon at Roselawn Cemetery in Athens with Alan Watkins officiating and Ridout’s Brown-Service directing. The visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs.
Elmore died on Sunday Sept. 17, 2017, at her residence. She was born on
July 28, 1922, in Elkmont to Ellis Clem and Ovie Thomas Johnson. She
was a member of Grant Street Church of Christ. She was preceded in death
by three sons, Gary Elmore, Gerald Elmore, Larry Elmore and her husband
of 49 years, Leslie Ernest Elmore.
She
is survived by son, Gregory L. Elmore; daughter, Donna R. Bagar and
husband, Walter; son, Bradley W. Elmore and wife, Linda; five
grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
