The Red Devils enjoyed a big area win on Tuesday night, defeating the Mars Hill Panthers 7-2. Tee Boyd split time with Santiago Altamirano at goalie for Elkmont. Nehemias Vicente led the team in scoring with 3 goals. Ben Besherse found the back of the net twice. Juan Mendoza and Sebastian Amaya rounded out the scoring by each scoring a goal.
The Lady Devils just missed out on a win over Mars Hill. With the game tied 2-2 at the end of regulation, two overtime periods were played with no score which led to each team taking penalty kicks. Teams were still tied after the first 5 kicks leading to sudden death. Lindsey Brackin kicked in the winning penalty shot giving the Lady Panthers the victory at 3-2.
The Red Devils are back in action on Saturday on the Hilltop. They will be hosting the Athens Bible Trojans. The Lady Devils game starts at 3 pm and the Red Devils at 5 pm. Watch the weather on this matchup, games might be cancelled.
