He was preceded in death by his wife: Susan Jeanette Green Cothren, his parents, two brothers, Leslie COthren and Don Cothren, and one sister: Martha Reyer. Surviving are sons, Justin (Becky) Lamar of Athens, AL and Stanley Cothren, Jr. of Athens, AL, daughter, Selina Mingo of Elkmont, AL, brother, Ronnie Cothren of Ardmore, AL, sisters, Sheila (Perry) Wilbourn of Elkmont, AL, Janice Sanders of Hazel Green, AL, Barbara Cothren of Hazel Green, AL, Connie Cothren of Athens, AL, Evelyn Peters of West Palm Beach, FL and Pam (Mike) Moore of Harvest, AL, and grandchildren:Autum Lamar, Jazlyn Cothren, Conner Mingo, Ariana Mingo, Zachariah Mingo, and Leslie Cothren. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 26, 2012, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.  Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 26, 2012, at Gatlin Cemetery with the Bro. Tim Hunt officiating.
