Born Friday, October 6, 1944 in Leetonia, Ohio, he was the son of the late Paul Jones Phillips and the late Elsie Ingledue Phillips. He had lived in this area for the past 28 years and enjoyed watching wildlife and being outdoors. Surviving are his wife: Linda K. Phillips of Elkmont, AL; daughters, Brenda & Lee Mason of Elkmont, AL, Janie & Darren Boyce of Shelbyville, TN and Kim & Jacob Dunnavant of Ardmore, AL, brothers, Paul Phillips of Salem, OH, Henry Phillips of Salem, OH, Richard Phillips of Leetonia, OH, Benny Phillips of Hanoverton, OH, Tom Phillips of Salem, OH and Gary Phillips of Hanoverton, OH, sister, Elsie Stevenson of Rogers, OH; five grandchildren: Candace and Shelby Williams, Heather and husband Jordan Nowlin, Kristin Boyce, and Nora Dunnavant; four greatgrandchildren: Riley Boyce, Rayndall Williams, Julia Newsom and Bailey Nowlin, and several nieces and nephews.
