Born Tuesday, July 11, 1950 in Devine, Texas, he was the son of the late John Henry Knox and the late Elsie Oliver Knox. He had lived most of his life in the Elkmont area and enjoyed hunting and guitar playing. He loved being outdoors.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: John Karl Knox. Surviving are his wife: Donna W. Knox of Elkmont, AL;sisters, Katherine Knox King of Decatur, AL and Jane Knox Engelbert of Laguna Niguel, CA; and two nieces and a nephews. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 11, 2012, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Rev. Phillip Gilbert officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, November 10, 2012, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
