Born Tuesday, March 13, 1962 in Fayetteville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late James Dupree McConnell and the late Sarah Margarette Merrell McConnell. He was a lifelong resident of this area and was an avid Tennessee Football fan. He also liked to read and gardening. Surviving are son, David James McConnell of Elkmont, AL, brothers, James Anthony McConnell of Elkton, TN, Jerry McConnell of Ardmore, TN and Tim McConnell of Ardmore, TN, sisters, Beverly Browning of Ardmore, AL and Melodye McConnell of Ardmore, TN and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Blanche Cemetery with Bro. Derrick Moose officiating. Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
