Kenneth Wayne Tarpley age 66 of Athens, passed away Sunday, October
11, 2015 at Huntsville Hospital. Mr. Tarpley was born July 15, 1949 in
Limestone County, AL to Ellis B. Tarpley and Kathleen Lewis Tarpley. Mr. Tarpley was a member of Athens Fellowship Church and was retired from Monsanto-Solutia in Decatur. He was a lifelong farmer in Limestone County. Preceded in death by his father, Ellis B. Tarpley.
Survived
by his wife, Irene Tarpley of Athens; two daughters, Anita Marie Kyle
and husband, Chad of Anderson and LeAnne Carder and husband, Keith of
Athens; six grandchildren, Ellise Kyle, JuliAnn Kyle, Katie Lyn Kyle,
Leigha Carder, Callie Carder, and Molly Carder; mother, Kathleen Lewis
Tarpley of Leggtown; two brothers, Edward Tarpley and Glenn Tarpley and
wife, Barbara both of Leggtown; several nieces and nephews. Leggtown is a few miles to the northwest of Elkmont.
Services
will be Wednesday, October 14, 2015 2:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel
Funeral Home with Cleabron Pullum officiating. Visitation will be
Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial
will be in Athens Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers
will be Edward Tarpley, Glenn Tarpley, Andy Tarpley, Timothy Tarpley,
Clint Baugher, Mac Baugher Adam Butler and Jacob Jetton. Honorary
pallbearer will be Levi Tarpley.
