HARRY CLAYTON TURNER - OBITUARY

Harry Clayton Turner, age 97 of Athens, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Limestone Health Facility. Mr. Turner was born December 4, 1919 in Limestone County, AL to Arsey Turner and Ida Belle Furline Turner.

Services will be Wednesday, March 22, 2017 1:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Dr. Kip McKee officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mr. Turner was a World War II Veteran. He was a member of Golden Age Band and a member of Salem Springs Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by his wife, Betty Thompson Turner; son, Winford Turner (Christina Turner).

Survived by one daughter, Margaret Sides of Athens; one son, Sonny Turner and wife, Vickie of Athens; one step-daughter, Vickey Thompson of Athens; three step-sons, Ronnie Thompson and wife, Sherry, Terry Thompson and wife, Melissa and Timmy Thompson and wife, Barbara all of Athens; three sisters, Mary Guthrie, Mildred Turner and Lura Turner all of Elkmont; one brother, Robert Turner and wife, Deverle of Elkmont; survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Winford Turner, Jr., Clay Turner, Dwight Thompson, Kenny Thompson, Brandon Turner, Michael Pullum, Scott Turner and Brad Sides.
