ELKMONT BOYS SOCCER NEWS


Steadily improving all season, the Varsity boys rounded the corner on Monday, defeating Clements 9-0. Sebastian Amaya led all scorers with 3 goals and 1 assist. Ben Besherse added 2 goals and 1 assist. The remaining goals were scored by Juan Mendoza, Rafael Aguilar, Nehemias (Nemo) Vicente, and Brandon Aguilar who also added an assist.

In previous games, Tanner snuck by Elkmont 1-0 in the second round of the County Tournament. 
 

Elkmont fell 2-1 to Ardmore in a game filled with penalty kicks, with Elkmont’s goal scored by Santiago Altamirano.  

 

Elkmont also fell to area leader West Morgan last week 8-0. 

 

 

The Red Devils continue to play this week with matches against Mars Hill and Athens Bible School.
