MARTHA NELL ARNETT - OBITUARY

Mrs. Martha Nell Arnett, age 77 of Athens, AL passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018 at her home. She was born on November 13, 1940 in Limestone County to Dewey and Ruby Dedmon. Mrs. Martha was a member of Sardis Springs Baptist Church. She loved working with children and was known for her sugar cookies that she lovingly made. Mrs. Martha dearly loved her family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Joyce Carroll and Dulene Garner. 

Mrs. Martha is survived by her husband, Ronnie Arnett of Athens, AL; son, Jimmy Arnett (Anita) of Athens, AL; daughters, Cassandra Montgomery (Neil) of Elkmont, AL and Ronda Holland (Bradley) of Ardmore, AL; grandchildren, Colin Montgomery (Vita), Courtney Calder (Chris), Avery Holland, Abby Holland and Heather Ralson; 3 sisters, Brenda Dedmon of Dalton, GA, Annette Long (Jerry) and Retha Dorning both of Athens, AL. 

Services will be at 11:00AM Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Sardis Springs Baptist Church with Tim Keenum and Charles Simmons officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-9:00PM Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. The body will lie in state from 9:00-11:00 AM, prior to the service. Burial will be in Sardis Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Clemons, Ross Hutchinson, Justin Jolly, Johnny Burgess, Allen Perry and Barry Carroll.
