Marie Mabry Balch Bates passed away on June 3, 2018. She was born in Leggtown, to Paris and Willie Mabry on November 30, 1925. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Mike Balch; husbands Clyde Balch and HC Bates; Brothers Clyde Mabry and Bill Mabry.
She is survived by two daughters Gayle Pack and husband Jeff; Naomi Lovell and husband Bobby; four grandchildren Josh Lovell, Ellen Lovell Foust (David), Shawn Pack (Lucy), Brandon Pack (Lisa), four step-grandchildren Paula Hand (Jeremy), Tammy Moss (Randy), Elizabeth Mealer (Keith), Jeffery Pack (Jackie), five great grandchildren Aubree Holt, Crimson Bowen, Ceaira Pack, Jacob Pack and Jemma Pack; three step great grandchildren Cade Hand, Parker Hand and Chloe Pack.
Visitation will be held at McConnell Funeral Home Saturday June 9, 2018 from 11-12:45 with a Graveside Service to follow at 1 P.M. at Athens City Cemetery with Brother Anthony Anderson officiating. Pallbearers will be Randy Moss, Jeremy Hand, David Foust, Shawn Pack, Josh Lovell, and Jeffery Pack.
