Thelton Douglas Colwell, age 75 of Elkmont, AL died Monday, June 04, 2018 at Lincoln Medical Center, Fayetteville, Tennessee. Born Thursday, September 03, 1942 in Limestone County, AL, he was the son of Jim & Beulah Colwell. Mr. Colwell has lived his whole life in Limestone County, AL. He was an avid hunter and member of the Coon Hunters Association. He also worked as a construction worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Malcolm, Horace, Harold, Thomas and Johnny; and sisters, Lucille, Linda and Juanita.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Alene Colwell; daughter , Connie (Dwight) McNeese; son, Bruce Colwell; sister, Gladys Goode, grandchildren, Alesha McNeese, Donald McNeese, and Allison Colwell; great grandchild, Avayah Miller.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 07, 2018 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 07, 2018 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL, at 2:00 PM with Bro. Doug Colwell officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
