If you are a 7th grader on the MS Boys basketball team, you need to go by and see Coach Sutton today for summer workout schedule.

The Poetry Club will meet Thursday. Please sign up outside Ms. Hickman's room if you are interested in running for office. Elections will be Thursday.

Congratulations to Bronson Ellis, the winner of the ipod nano of which all the proceeds went to the Rhett Bailey family. Thank you so much to all who helped with this fundraiser!

Boys that have not played basketball last year in grades 8-11, please see Coach Garris today and get a physical and insurance form. You will need a current physical and insurance to practice next week.

Congrats to Daniel Logan and Casie Rochell, who have been selected as Elkmont High School's Boys' and Girls' State representatives for 2011-2012. Daniel will attend the Boys' State Program this summer at the University of Alabama, and Casie will attend State at Troy University.

Congrats to Abi Schrimsher and Sloan Hawkins, who have been selected as Elkmont High School's First National Bank Student Advisors for the 2011-2012 school year.

Summer school registration in ongoing in the counseling department. Tanner High will again host summer school this year, which runs June 6-July 1. The fee is $275, which must be paid at the time of registration. Cash and money orders will be accepted, but no checks will be accepted. Registration will be at Elkmont through Friday, May 27, and at Tanner High School on June 6. Summer school hours will be from 8:00-3:50 each day, and students must bring their own lunch, drinks, and snacks. Please see Mr. Rogers or Ms. Hamlin for a registration packet.
