Scholars Bowl Teams Bring Home Awards

The EHS Scholars Bowl teams proved to be very competitive this year. The fourth and fifth grade team, sponsored by Candi Holt, won the county competition this year. Cole Hogan was the highest scorer, and the team will be acknowleged at the next school board meeting. Greg Sutton, who sponsors the sixth grade team, said his team practiced once a week and placed second in the county. Ms. Swinea's junior high team placed second, and Michael Farris was first place scorer. The high school team placed third in the county. Ms. Schmidt stated that Autin Sharp was the only Elkmont player who made it to the championship round.
