CHRISTINE C. NAMIE - OBITUARY
Christine C. Namie, age 89, of Decatur, died Mrs. Namie was born November 13, 1925, in Limestone County to John L. Copeland and Estelle Copeland. She was a very active, lifelong member of The Annunciation of The Lord Catholic Church of Decatur. She worked at W.T. Grant as a cashier and sales clerk. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 68 years, Moses M. Namie.
Friday, September 11, 2015.
Funeral Mass will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at Annunciation of The Lord Catholic Church. Father Tom Perrin S.D.S. will officiate. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. Ridout's Brown Service Funeral Home will be directing. A Rosary Service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the church. Visitation will start immediately following the Rosary Service and will last until the service time at 1:30 p.m.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Namie and Jerry Namie, both of Decatur, Don Namie, of Elkmont; one daughter, Vicki Anderson, of Springfield, TN; two brothers, Alton Copeland and Ralph Copeland; one sister, Jo Ellen Nawyn; ten grandchildren, Bobby Namie, Karen Shelton, Steve Hill, April Hitt, Jeremy Namie, Kim Wray, Stephen Namie, Stuart Namie, Casey Talbot, and Lacey Talley; 14 great- grandchildren, Peyton Namie, Turner Shelton, Abigal Shelton, Kayla Hill, Patrick Hill, Madison Springer, Jared Wray, Jonathan Wray, Allison Namie, Ian Namie, Asher Talbot, Isaac Talbot, Andrae Lunsford, and Jashon Shannon.
