PHILLIP R. STANFORD - OBITUARY

Phillip R. Stanford age 68 of Athens, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Decatur-Morgan Hospital. Mr. Stanford was born August 19, 1947 in Limestone County, AL to James Stanford and Clara Appleton Stanford.

Services will be Thursday, January 14, 2016 2:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with James Allen Stanford officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.
Mr. Stanford was a Veteran of The United States Army.

Preceded in death by his parents, James Huey and Clara Appleton Stanford of Elkmont; one brother, Charles David Stanford.

Survived by Faye Stanford; son, Chad Stanford and wife, Renee; daughter, Julie Wales and husband, Jeff of Elkmont; four grandchildren, Clay Stanford Wales, Sara Grace Wales, Hayden Finley Stanford and Makenna Rowe Stanford; two brothers, James Allen Stanford and wife, Elaine (formerly lived on Children Street of Elkmont) and Randy Stanford and wife, Judy of Elkmont; numerous other family and friends. 


Pallbearers will be Chad Stanford, Jeff Wales, Clay Wales, Hayden Stanford, Dalton Dilworth, Brian Tidwell, Darrell Spencer and Randy Stanford. Honorary pallbearers will be Neil Stanford, Curtis Burt, Blake Boyd and Terry-Bob Boyd.
