Our circumstances and community shape the way we see others. Teaching kids to see each individual matters is a start. Division is never the answer. Encouraging that division is a downright disservice. Do not let the media rule your beliefs or steer your path. Use judgement and reflection to guide emotions. The answer I believe lies within. Have a good one!

BARRY'S CORNER - LIVING IN ELKMONT
Come to the playground. Kindergarteners see no color, no economic
differences, and no inequality. They are all little souls playing
together, learning how to communicate and treating each other the same.
Hate, racism, and bias are learned! We must be careful what we say and
do in those early years if we want change. I have these same kids for 6
years and watch as they learn socially accepted segregation. It
happens. Sure it is sometimes natural in interests and experiences,
but truth be told I have seen it taught and instigated by adults.
