Rain today? |
Clouds will increase this morning with a few isolated showers possible. It will be from the late morning and into the afternoon that we’d see those outflow driven storms arrive…so around or just before lunch time.
These types of storm systems often produce significant lightning, widespread wind gusts 35-45 mph along with torrential rain. On occasion they can produce damaging wind gusts around 60 mph. The threat for tornadoes is very low. Highs today will top out in the lower 90s outside of the storms, but it will be cooler where the rain falls.
Channel 48 has mid 90s next week but some of the big names in the weather world don't agree ....... |
Next week:
It is looking like you need to try to get those outdoor projects done this week. We may have some actual temps about 100 next week.
"It's been a long time since we've seen short range computer models
(both US GFS and EURO) show a heat-wave of this magnitude for a
prolonged week or more event. This looks to be a #1 hottest 3rd week in
July in 121 years and eclipsing the record breaking year of 2012."
