Memorial services will be Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., at Truth Baptist Church with Donald Terry and Daryl Brooks officiating. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home assisting the family.
Mrs. Compton owned A Classic Grooming by Theresa since 1992. She was a member of Truth Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Smith; one brother, Andrew Marks; one sister, Virginia Gill.
Survived by her husband, Roger A. Compton of Athens; one son, Thomas Shane Smith of Birmingham, AL; father, Bobby Wayne Marks of Athens; two sisters, Janette Chambers and husband, Mark of Elkmont and Annette Creekmore of Athens; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Hospice of Limestone County, or Peace, Love and Animals of Tanner, AL.
