Helen Marie Smith Brock, age 87 of Ardmore, AL passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Huntsville Hospital. Mrs. Brock was born April 7, 1930 in Madison County, AL to Burbin Lee Smith and Lucille Luna Smith. Mrs. Brock was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Odie (Jimmie) Brock; one daughter, Debbie Sue Brock O’Rear; one son-in-law, Michael L. Martin; one brother, John William (Billy) Smith
Survived by one daughter, Shirley Ann Brock Martin of Ardmore, AL; two sons, James David Brock of Elkmont, AL and Danny Lee Brock of Rockford, IL; one daughter-in-law, Joan Biggerstaff Brock; two sisters, Anita Slayton and Betty Jean Smith and husband, James E. both of Ardmore, TN; five grandchildren, Timmy (Jennifer) Beddingfield, Jennifer Martin, Melissa Martin, Kriston (Lesley) Garris and Stephanie (Jack) Brannan; seven great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
Services were Sunday, October 29, 2017 2:30 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Smith officiating. Visitation was Sunday, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. prior to the service. Burial was in Sylone Cemetery. Pallbearers were her grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers were son-in-law, Mike O’Rear and Shayne Maddox.
