at the East Invitational Volleyball Tournament, September 30.
The JV team fought hard all day and finished with 4 matches in the win column and a runner-up trophy. This earned them some hardware to bring home to the hilltop.
The Middle School beat Clements in their first pool play match, 25-27, 18-25, and 15-9. Brewer was next time on the pool play slate, the Lady Devils won, 28-26, 17-25, and 15-12.
The first round of the tournament had Elkmont paired up with Athens Bible School. Taking two out of the three sets (15-25, 25-14 and 15-11), the Lady Devils moved on with a win. Playing in the semi-finals, had them matched up with the host school, East Limestone, Unfortunately, the Lady Indians came out on top for the win in two sets, 20-25 and 18-25. Our team finished up the tourney with the third place trophy.
Both the JV and Middle School teams will be playing in the county tournament this Saturday, being hosted here on the Hilltop.
