Charles Benton Hardy, Sr., age 70 of Athens, passed away Sunday,
March 4, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Hardy was born February 18, 1948 in
Limestone County, AL to Buford Herman Hardy and Hattie Louise Holmes
Hardy. Mr. Hardy loved coaching baseball and he was a hard working man. Preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and three sisters.
Survived
by four sons, Timothy Hardy and wife, Michelle of Central City, KY
Charles Hardy, Jr. of Athens, Marcus Hardy and wife, Sheri of Pulaski,
TN and Cory Hardy and wife, Jennifer of Athens; two daughters, Melony
Cook of Athens and Linda Jacobs and David Holt of Elkmont; 22
grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were Wednesday, March 7, 2018 2:00
p.m., at Hardy Cemetery with Kasey Harbin officiating. Visitation was Wednesday, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Limestone Chapel
Funeral Home.
