Well, now that it's official, I will share.....after much prayer and many tears, Michael & I have made a life altering decision: he is not only retiring from the City of Athens, but also taking on a new role with Pike electric in West Palm Springs in Florida. He also stepped down as Fire Chief of our beloved Elkmont VFD. He leaves Tuesday morning headed South. At first he will travel back and forth, but after my contract with KRS is complete, I will join him there.
We don't plan on selling our house right now as our boys and our girl will still be here and we will need somewhere to come back to. This decision has by far been one of the most difficult decisions in our 26 years of marriage. We ask that all of you join us in prayer as we embark on this new journey. We pray that God will continue to lead and guide us as we continue to follow Him. Elkmont is and always will be our home. As always we are a phone call or text away but will take a little longer to get to you. As always: Go Big Red
